After a week of study, I learned about the SAMR model and the SECTION model. In current online courses, I see the SAMR model more often than the SECTION model
SAMR consists of 4 steps: substitution (S), enhancement (A), modification (M), and redefinition (R). The SAMR model is an innovative model for selecting, applying, and evaluating technology in education. SAMR focuses more on the “technology” perspective to consider how to help integrate technology and teaching. On the other hand, the SECTION model is an evaluation model. This model focuses on more and more detail to evaluate the practicality of software for teaching from all aspects.
During the epidemic, many group operations were SAMR. I had a mathematics class last semester. The final group project was done by google group. The teacher gave topics and corresponding knowledge points. Our group discussed and exchanged personal ideas in the google group and finally integrated the respective results. At last, we invited teachers to watch our project.
A poor-quality video is devastating to the viewer. If it is a poor quality educational video, it will affect the acquisition of knowledge for students and affect the students’ enthusiasm for knowledge. For poor-quality videos, I will lose my patience and even speed up the playback. For education, this will cause students to miss many important knowledge.

Hi Yukun,
As all courses now are delivered online, I agree with you that most of our instructors have applied SAMR to teaching, It kinda makes up for the shortcomings of our inability to teach/learn face-to-face, and lets students have a sense of participation in asynchronous courses. But having said that, I am really looking forward to the new semester in September, where we all can sit in the classroom to learn. Also, thank you for the compliment on my video in my post, I learned the effects & editing on youtube.
